I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
